Covenants
IMPORTANT NOTE: Like stated in the previous paragraph, all Covenants are very close to each other in terms of power. Outside of absolute min-maxing, feel free to pick the Covenant you enjoy the most.

World of Waracraft Shadowlands video for PROT Warrior Guide Best Covenant, Legendaries, Soulbinds, ConduitsThis video is my recommendation for WoW Shadowland.
Raid: Venthyr
Venthyr gained a lot of traction in 9.1 after the addition of the Venthyr-specific Covenant legendary, Sinister Teachings. It solved the biggest problem Venthyr had (Fallen Order being quite underwhelming to use), and made Venthyr possibly the best choice in terms of healing done due to how strong Fallen Order is now and how extremely powerful Theotar soulbind always has been. An important thing to note: Venthyr is still a bit behind other Covenants when it comes to Brewmaster and Windwalker, so if you find yourself playing other specs often then be cautious about swapping.
Soulbind: Theotar
Raid: Kyrian
Kyrian is an extremely solid choice for raiding for Mistweavers. Kyrian will be your choice if you really like Fistweaving as it makes Invoke Chi-Ji, the Red Crane much more potent, but even outside of that synergy Kyrian is a very strong Covenant with good soulbinds, all while being a versatile choice which works with all talent builds.
Soulbind: Kleia
Raid: Necrolord
Necrolord is also an incredibly strong pick for Mistweavers in raids. Bonedust Brew is a great ability which provides a great amount of burst healing on a relatively low cooldown. Additionally, picking Necrolord gives us the access to Emeni - a strong soulbind (even though in 9.1 it might fall short compared to Kyrian or Venthyr soulbinds) due to Lead by Example trait, which gives a large amount of main stat to us and a smaller amount to our nearby raid members whenever we cast Bonedust Brew.
Soulbind: Emeni
Mythic+
Mythic+: Venthyr / Kyrian / Necrolord
In Mythic+, Venthyr has a slight edge over other options, but both Kyrian and Necrolord are really close.
Conduits
Potency:Resplendent Mist
Provides a nice boost to our Mastery healing and makes chasing Essence Font HoTs more valuable. Also increases Gust of Mists healing triggered by Chi-Ji, which is a nice bonus.
Potency:Rising Sun Revival
Provides cooldown reduction on Revival if you cast RSK. Generally it is a very good choice for an extra chunk of healing from Revival and reducing the cooldown of your Revival.
Potency:Jade Bond
Slightly increases the healing done by our Celestials and reduces their cooldown every time we trigger our Mastery healing. Overall a very good choice if you can utilize the Cooldown Reduction aspect and get an extra use on the fight or get better timings for your Celestial. Additionally, it now also triggers CDR from Chi-Ji’s Gust of Mists, which makes it even better if you are running that talent.
Potency (if Venthyr): Imbued Reflections
A really good option, which empowers Fallen Order even further, increasing its damage and healing by a sizable amount.
Potency (if Necrolord):Bone Marrow Hops
Provides a solid increase toBonedust Brew’s power as well as allows us to cast it more often meaning higher uptime ofLead by Example.
Potency:Resplendent Mist
Provides a nice boost to our Mastery healing and makes chasing Essence Font HoTs more valuable. Not a bad choice at all, but two options mentioned above provide a bit more value in my opinion.
Potency:Rising Sun Revival
Will provide around 10-15 seconds of cooldown reduction on Revival if you cast RSK on cooldown. Generally is a good choice for an extra chunk of healing from Revival since in good circumstances it can provide around 2% of total healing done.
Potency (if Kyrian):Strike with Clarity
Was carrying Chi-Ji build previously due to enormous amount of extra Mastery you’d get, after the nerf it's quite underwhelming: Weapons of Order duration by default is already longer compared to Chi-Ji (30 seconds to 25), so the increased duration part doesn’t matter too much, and the amount of Mastery you get now is extremely low, which makes the conduit very weak. However, it’s worth keeping an eye on it in case it will get buffed in the future.
Endurance:Fortifying Ingredients
The best Endurance conduit we currently have the access to; it provides a nice absorb after casting Fortifying Brew.
Endurance:Condensed Anima Sphere
A new conduit added in 9.1, it is not by all means groundbreaking, but still provides a nice self healing bonus. One of our best Endurance conduits.
Endurance:Grounding Breath
Underwhelming compared to Fortifying Ingredients and Condensed Anima Sphere.
Finesse:Dizzying Tumble
Not by any means groundbreaking, but gives a nice damage reduction from enemies affected by our Leg Sweep for a short period of time. Important to note, that the effect is activated after the stun duration has expired.
Finesse:Swift Transference
Whenever you only have enemies that are immune to stuns, use this. The effect is almost negligible, but it’s better than other options (read as nothing).
Legendaries
Venthyr: Sinister Teachings. This legendary is what makes Venthyr so powerful at the moment. It summons an additional Fallen Monk for the duration of the spell and, most importantly, reduces the cooldown of Fallen Order by 5 seconds every time you crit. Cooldown reduction can be triggered by any damage or healing event (including Refreshing Jade Wind ticks, EF bolts, EF HoT, SCK hits, etc), which allows you to reduce Fallen Order’s cooldown to roughly 1 minute or even lower depending on the amount of crits. Having an ability like that on such a short cooldown gives Mistweavers insanely high sustained throughput, which is invaluable in raids.
This legendary doesn't really change the playstyle, you simply want to cast Fallen Order as soon as it is available most of the time. Talent-wise its preferable to play Refreshing Jade Wind for better CDR due to more healing events, and for more healing done, however it can put a big strain on your mana if you don’t have Innervates available for you, so playing Chi-ji is also a perfectly viable and great option. Also, Mist Wrap generally overtakes Chi Burst in almost all scenarios due to it affecting the Enveloping Mists from your Adepts.
It is recommended to craft this legendary in a Ring slot, however depending on your gear, crafting it on wrists is also a good option.
Non - Venthyr:Ancient Teachings of the Monastery. This legendary is pretty straightforward: After Essence Font, for the next 15 seconds your single-target damage abilities will heal an injured ally for 250% of damage done.
Assuming that Monks should be spending quite a fair amount of time DPSing with having Rising Mist talented already, this legendary provides a big healing done increase for almost no additional mana spent. An important thing to note - the buff is gained afterEssence Font channel ENDS, not the start, but cancelling the channel or getting CC'd during the channel will give you the buff regardless.
It’s important to note that all the damage buffs in 9.1 also affect the power of this legendary, so it’s better than it was before.
It is advised to craft this legendary in Wrist slot due to Domination Socket gear taking Gloves slot.
Notable Mentions:
Invoker's Delight (Slot: Back) - Gives a big haste bonus for 20 seconds after summoning your Celestial. It can provide some big value since all healing from Enveloping Mist and Enveloping Breath scales off haste, and ultimately having a second Bloodlust gives you a window of enormous burst healing. Definitely a solid option, and the go-to pick on some bosses (Sun King Salvation, for instance.)
Best Wow Legendaries
Tear of Morning (Slot: Waist) - Empowers our Vivify cleave healing by quite a significant margin, as well as making Enveloping Mist healing cleave in the same manner. Provided that we are already encouraged to cast Enveloping Mist in the raid a lot more because of the new Celestials and Enveloping Breath, this is a very nice bonus.
Call to Arms (Slot: Legs) - Kyrian specific legendary, which summons your Celestial for 12 seconds after casting Weapons of Order. It could allow the player to desync Weapons of Order and Celestial for better cooldown coverage depending on the boss damage pattern, which can be really useful. Its’ strength and general usefulness is to be determined, but there’s some potential that it could compete with Ancient Teachings of the Monastery.
Shards of Domination
Legendary Stats Shadowlands
Patch 9.1 brings out a new system called Shards of Domination. It features 3 shards of three different types: Blood, Frost and Unholy, three different set bonuses, which you unlock by equipping all three shards of the same type, as well as raid gear with Domination Sockets where you can put these shards.
For Monks, Domination slots are: Head, Shoulders, Chest, Gloves and Boots.
To unlock the set bonus, you need to meet two requirements. Firstly, you need to equip 3 shards of the same type (blood, Frost or Unholy) depending on what set bonus you want. Secondly, you need to have a specific Domination Armor slot, which unlocks the bonus once you have all 3 shards - Helmet for Unholy, Shoulders for Frost, and Chest for Blood. Once both requirements are met (say, you have 3 Unholy shards equipped and have a helmet with a Shard of Domination in it), you will activate the set bonus (in our case, Unholy). It's worth noting that there are 5 slots in total, so you will want to run a set bonus + 2 best shards of other types.
From a healing perspective the best set bonus for Mistweavers is Unholy. Chaos Bane provides us with a huge amount of Intellect with a proc once you get 15 stacks, or passively while you are stacking the buff. While Frost and Blood sets are quite behind in terms of healing increase, they are really good in terms of adding damage (especially Frost), so if you are not lucky and haven’t got a domination helmet or unholy shards yet, Frost and Blood are decent alternatives, even though it is not generally recommended to spend all your Stygian Embers on upgrading them.
Outside of sets, we can still have 2 other shards equipped. Assuming you have Unholy set, our best offset shards are Shard of Kyr, which gives a nice self absorb, Shard of Tel, which gives a small absorb to your closest allies when you crit, and Shard of Rev, which gives a flat Leech increase, which is great for healers in general.
Shadowlands Legendary Ring Stats
Assuming you have all 5 domination pieces and all domination shards, the upgrade priority would be as follows:
Best In Slot Legendaries Shadowlands 3
- Unholy set. The set level is tied to the level of the lowest shard in the set, so it is important to upgrade all Unholy shards evenly (for example, upgrade all Unholy shards to level 3 before upgrading any Unholy shard to 4).
- Shard of Tel >= Shard of Rev
